Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) is a molecule in your body, present in every single cell and involved in more chemical reactions than any other vitamin-derived molecule. When this molecule oxidizes and becomes inactive, it is referred to as NADH; however, in active state, it is called NAD+. NAD+ acts as a coenzyme for Vitamin B3, facilitating reactions by binding to protein molecules.
